Description

Craft a Bee Watering Station for Your Backyard

Do you wistfully listen to government announcements of funding for shovel ready infrastructure projects?  Do you worry that you have no bee infrastructure in your life?  Do you have to explain to youthful family members about the shortage of bee related jobs in your local area?  Then this Bee Watering Station project is what you have bee(n) looking for.

Why Should I Fund This Project?  Bee Watering Station Benefits.

Now, just like us bees need a dependable water source. Did you know every day, a bee can drink its body weight in water? The bees use water in their air conditioning system to cool the hive and for cleaning crystallized honey that is too tough to shift. A bee watering station is just the thing to avoid drowned bees.  The criteria is pretty simple, it shouldn’t dry out, it shouldn’t be crowded by pets, birds and other animals sharing the same spot and as mentioned it should avoid drowning those trying to drink.  Bees are also quite happy with with water sources that would not interest humans.  They like stinky, salty or sugary water.  Our Number One Fancy Bee Watering Station will meet all these needs.  Some assembly required, but way simpler than Ikea.

Fixed Cost Budget? This family friendly infrastructure crafting activity will remain on budget at $15.

However the choice of schedule is up to you. Once purchased your construction team can execute their work onsite in our crafting pavilion, or you can transport it to another location and build in place.

This craft is ideal for school groups, day camps and for organizations looking for agricultural educational programming.

The crafting pavilion is open for drop-in  construction teams (experienced or otherwise) from 11:30am until close at 6:30pm – May to October.  We suggest at least a 1/2 hour for this activity and we have many other things to enjoy onsite.

Management & Supervision Options

At this site we employ a distant supervision methodology.  This involves supervisory personnel, such as parents, enjoying a mead flight or charcuterie on the balcony or patio a little distant from the bedlam of construction (depending on the experience of your construction team).

You can choose any of these extras to round out your visit.
